Some electronic components have to be sourced overseas these days, but Kestrel buys American wherever possible. The Kestrel Portable Tripod w Tripod Clamp - 0799 is a robust yet lightweight accessory, perfect for usage in all weathers. It securely accommodates any Kestrel for readings in the outdoors, making it highly suitable for expeditions.This Kestrel Portable Tripod, crafted from nylon for extreme durability, features three adjustable legs, non-slip vinyl feet, and a wide base for added stability and wind resistance. The tilt/rotate U-ball head allows the tripod to be used on uneven surfaces and the Velcro® strap provides secure attachment to tree limbs, railings, pack frames, and more. The fully-extended tripod measures 8 in / 20 cm and its folded length is 7 in / 18 cm. Made in the USA. The top clamp detaches and fits any tripod with a standard tripod mount (1/4-20 thread fitting).
Note: Tripod clamp not required when tripod is used with the Kestrel Vane Mount.
