The entire Kestrel line is designed and built in the USA. No other handheld weather meter is. Some electronic components have to be sourced overseas these days, but Kestrel buys American wherever possible. Kestrel believes US manufacturing is the only way to ensure that every Kestrel will do its job right. Kestrel believes it’s important to do its part to keep manufacturing alive and well in the US.

This collapsible tripod is equipped with a Kestrel-friendly clamp, allowing for secure attachment of any model Kestrel, or for use of the Vane Mount with removal of the clamp.

This collapsible tripod is equipped with an adjustable clamp compatible with all Kestrel Meters. Its three section legs contain flip lever locks and non-marring rubber feet. Extending between 20.5-52" and weighing 2.3lbs, it is ideal for Kestrel 4 and 5 series Rotating Vane Mount accessories.

    Needs to be heavier in order to not be effected by wind.

    tripod is too light blows over in wind, would not buy this item again. Need to make one that has stakes you can press into ground.
